Treatment

The periodontology department primarily cares for patients with diseases of the gums (gingiva) and the periodontal apparatus (periodontium). Inflammation of the periodontal apparatus (periodontitis) is one of the most common causes of tooth loss in adults, with all its consequences. Untreated periodontitis can also increase the risk of serious systemic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

However, maintaining healthy teeth and periodontal support into old age no longer has to be just a dream.

As specialists in the field of periodontology, we would like to inform you about opportunities for early detection, prevention, and treatment of this periodontal disease.

  • Modern diagnostic procedures
  • Prophylaxis, professional teeth cleaning, oral hygiene training
  • Nutritional medicine and counseling
  • Treatment of gum and periodontal inflammation (conservative, surgical, regenerative, microsurgical)
  • Stabilization of loose teeth
  • Aesthetic gum treatments
  • Individual risk assessment and management
  • Follow-up care for periodontitis

Treatment is also possible in the clinical course for students. There, students from the 7th semester onwards carry out treatments for periodontal diseases independently under the supervision of our department colleagues.
