Forschung - Research
In research, the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Labarotory medicine is focused on the investigation of the regulation of immunological processes as well as the interaction between inflammation, metabolism and haematopoiesis. The institute's research projects deal with the process of leukocyte recruitment, the activation of innate immunity cells , the regulation of blood formation, cell metabolism, especially of immune cells, and hypoxia-induced processes in various inflammatory-metabolic diseases. In addition, the institute's research focuses on the neurochemical analysis of endocrine diseases and epigenetic mechanisms.
