Dear Colleagues,

Rare and atypical symptoms, lengthy diagnostics – doctors puzzle over these cases. Rare diseases often present complex and unresolved cases in everyday clinical practice. The University Center for Rare Diseases (USE) is again presenting three fascinating cases of rare diseases as part of CME-accredited training. We warmly invite you to attend the:

36th Case Presentation “Medical Mysteries: Rare Diseases in Focus”

on December 4, 2024, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, building 21, Seminar Rooms 1+2, and digitally via Webex.

The following cases will be presented:

  • Patient (*2023, *2024) with prenatal renal agenesis and duodenal atresia (Dr. med. Katrin Schuchardt, Clinic and Polyclinic for Pediatric Surgery)
  • Patient (*2013) with TTN-associated congenital myopathy (Ruth Schilling, Institute of Clinical Genetics)
  •  Patient (*1988) with multiple primary benign bone tumors - or maybe not? (Dr. med.Elena Tsourdi and Dr. med. Jessica Pablik, Medical Clinic III, Institute of Pathology)

We look forward to numerous participants from various clinics and departments. In addition to specialists, we especially encourage younger colleagues and students to join.

CME credits have been requested from the Saxon State Medical Association.

You can find the invitation, including the access link, here.

Best regards,
The USE Team
